DebugException while saving project & unclear messages durin

Version CE 1.6.1_02
While saving a project I got the following error:
Exception: org.netbeans.mdr.util.DebugException: Cannot fail when in read mode.

This project created by importing the java source files from
ftp://ftp.dalsemi.com/pub/auto_id/publi ... _1_00B.tgz

During that import operation the following warnings or errors (unclear) were reported:
N:\Le's work\Encryption\_code\IbuttonJava\src\com\dalsemi\onewire\adapter\NetAdapter.java:
javax.jmi.reflect.InvalidObjectException (Object with MOFID .:0000000000001172 no longer exists.)
N:\Le's work\Encryption\_code\IbuttonJava\src\com\dalsemi\onewire\adapter\NetAdapterHost.java:
javax.jmi.reflect.InvalidObjectException (Object with MOFID .:0000000000001172 no longer exists.)
N:\Le's work\Encryption\_code\IbuttonJava\src\com\dalsemi\onewire\adapter\SerialService.java:
org.argouml.uml.reveng.java.d (classifier not found: SerialPort)
N:\Le's work\Encryption\_code\IbuttonJava\src\com\dalsemi\onewire\application\tag\SAXParser.java:
org.argouml.uml.reveng.java.d (classifier not found: MinML)
N:\Le's work\Encryption\_code\IbuttonJava\src\com\dalsemi\onewire\jib\service\JiBAppletAccessCardService.java:
org.argouml.uml.reveng.java.d (classifier not found: CHVDialog)
N:\Le's work\Encryption\_code\IbuttonJava\src\com\dalsemi\onewire\jib\service\JiBAppletManagerCardService.java:
org.argouml.uml.reveng.java.d (classifier not found: SecurityDomain)
N:\Le's work\Encryption\_code\IbuttonJava\src\com\dalsemi\onewire\jib\service\JiBCardServiceFactory.java:
org.argouml.uml.reveng.java.d (classifier not found: CardType)
N:\Le's work\Encryption\_code\IbuttonJava\src\com\dalsemi\onewire\jib\terminal\JiBCardTerminal.java:
org.argouml.uml.reveng.java.d (classifier not found: CardTerminalException)
N:\Le's work\Encryption\_code\IbuttonJava\src\com\dalsemi\onewire\jib\terminal\JiBCardTerminalFactory.java:
org.argouml.uml.reveng.java.d (classifier not found: CardTerminalRegistry)

The issue with these error messages is that their intent is unclear. The implementers of this product apparently thought it was unnecessary to implement "classifiers". If there is something needed for the UML model completeness a "warning" should be published and a critique should support the developer in identifying the explicit shortcoming.

Hi!

Wondering whether you got any response.

I'm experiencing the same bug with SE 1.6.1 after I've imported java source and merged with a previous project (see log below).

Regards,

We have just reworked the import in 2.2 so that it produces an appropriate message. The messages you see like "classifier not found: SerialPort" mean that the class or interface SerialPort is referenced in the source but does not exist - so you probably have to add a jar to the import classpath to get rid of this error. Poseidon cannot know which jar is needed, so it just tells you that "SerialPort" is not understood.

The "InvalidObjectException" and the resulting "cannot fail when in read mode" error are a result of the old import framework. We noticed that the import needed some serious software engineering, and hence re-wrote it in 2.2. You can just move to CE 2.2 for free.
