How can I stop outputting

tags

Postby drekka » Thu Mar 06, 2003 3:40 am

Hi all,
When I add documentation to objects, Poseidon automaticaly wraps <p></p> tags around each line. How can i stop this ? It's causing all sorts of error messages from JavaDoc.

Hi,
Currently there is no possibility to avoid these tags.
But jdk1.4.1's javadoc should handle these tags without problems.

Kind regards,

There's the converse problem of the vast quantities of <P>s that get introduced when importing files. This makes some outstandingly ugly output when run back out through UMLdoc. There has got to be a better heuristic for deciding where to put <P>s in this case.

It would also be nice if UMLdoc recognized when it was generating a <P></p> pair with nothing but white space in between.

These errors/warnings arise because the JavaDoc tool (including 1.4.1!) is looking for the 'first sentence' summary but encounters a '<p>' element instead...

I second that motion. When importing source, Poseidon makes a mess out of lovingly crafted existing javadoc comments.

On the way out, it would be nice to have Poseidon output exactly what is in the documentation tab, and let the user decide whether she wants to add <p> tags.

A fix to those input and output problems with and without usage of javadoc would be a major improvement of poseidon since sufficient and comfortable documentation is widely regarded as important influence in software engineering.

I just saw that I've posted in the Poseidon 1.x forum but the problem still persists in poseidon 2.x ;-)
