Feature request: Per diagram print settings

Postby KeeperOfTheSoul » Wed Aug 13, 2008 1:56 pm

I often want to re-print all the diagrams in my project, but the print settings for landscape/portrait are chosen as a project wide setting.

I often find that most diagrams layout better in landscape, but some need portrait (normally sequence diagrams).

Maybe have a separate dialog that lists all the diagrams and their current print settings with the values, Portrait, Landscape, Default ?[/i]

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your message, though I believe your need is too specific.

Kind regards

I was thinking this would be a generic problem; the reason being the default settings when printing diagrams only allow for portrait or landscape.

However, when creating diagrams some tend to be landscape whilst others are portrait, this is annoying when printing as you have to then open up each diagram to check and print them individually.

Initially I thought a solution would be to have a per-diagram print setting which would solve this. A better solution would be to have Poseidon recognize the correct layout.

If the diagram is wider than it is tall, print in landscape.
If it is taller than it is wide, print in portrait.
If it is approximately square then print in the default setting.
