I have installed Poseidon fom UML CE 6.0 on Windows XP Pro SP2. I am trying to uninstall the software and getting a "Fatal Application Error" with the following details :

As a consequence, the uninstall process halts.

Hello,

The reason can be the JDK you use. Please install JDK 1.5 to resolve this problem.

We recommend using Poseidon with bundled JRE because Poseidon was tested carefully with JRE which is bundled with it. The JRE will be located in Poseidons folder and will be used by Poseidon only. All other applications will use JRE which was already installed before.

This problem occurred because you installed Poseidon for UML using Java 6, so only changing the path to java 5 after installed will not solve the problem. This is a problem from the zerog installer, to solve follow this steps:

You need to edit the file "PoseidonDirectory\UninstallerData\Uninstallsomething.lax"

Then find the line in the file like: "lax.nl.current.vm=C:\\Program Files\\Java\\jdk1.6.0_01\\jre\\bin\\java.exe" and change it to point to your 1.5 or 1.4 jvm. For my example above it would be: "lax.nl.current.vm=C:\\Program Files\\Java\\jre1.5.0_11\\bin\\java.exe". Be sure to use double slashes and that the path is accurate to the java.exe file, otherwise it will not work. Save your changes.

Now go to your “add/removeâ€

Desinstalar poseidon for uml se 6.0.2

Postby s.retuerto » Sat Mar 06, 2010 2:30 pm

Hola. Instale el poseidon for uml se 6,0.2 en Windows XP Professional y ahora al querer desinstalarlo me da el error:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: com.zerog.ia.platform.Sys.getSpecialFolderJNI(I)Ljava/lang/String;
at com.zerog.ia.platform.Sys.getSpecialFolderJNI(Native Method)
at com.zerog.ia.platform.Sys.getSpecialFolder(DashoA8113)
at ZeroGau.a(DashoA8113)
at com.zerog.ia.installer.util.magicfolders.AbstractWin32MF.b(DashoA8113)
at com.zerog.ia.installer.util.magicfolders.MagicFolder.initializeAllMagicFolderPaths(DashoA8113)
at com.zerog.ia.installer.Main.c(DashoA8113)
at com.zerog.ia.installer.Main.d(DashoA8113)
at com.zerog.ia.installer.Main.a(DashoA8113)
at com.zerog.ia.installer.Main.main(DashoA8113)
at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method)
at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:39)
at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:25)
at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:597)
at com.zerog.lax.LAX.launch(DashoA8113)
at com.zerog.lax.LAX.main(DashoA8113)
