Poseidon needs some time to startup, but 10-15 munutes is too long. Do you start Poseidon with a large project?
We recommand to give Poseidon at least 512 MB.

I found a cause of Poseidon hanging on startup

Postby timstamp » Thu Nov 13, 2008 12:31 am

If Poseidon is set to auto-open a project on startup, and that saved project has been corrupted for any reason, then Poseidon will just hang.

I'm running the Community Edition 6.0.2 on Linux.

Somehow my project got corrupted after I was trying to create a sequence diagram... I tried to save the project after I got an exception error message, and apparently that was enough to trash the project. Luckily there was a backup save file to restore from.
