User defined placement of model/diagram files

Postby maa » Thu Oct 19, 2006 11:23 am

it would be a very good thing to let the user decide where the diagrams and model files are placed. The reason is that if you have a large project under source control (which every one has I guess) and enable Apollo, then the "src" dir is listed as if something has changed after it is "poluted" with model specific files. You have two options: Add the files to the svn:ignore or check them in. Model files can always be created based on the source code so maybe somebody decide not to check those in, but of course diagrams are the ones where you spend your time showing the views that you think are interesting, so they should be cheked in at some point. Since people have different policies for what to check in or not, and maybe different directory structures for models versus source code trees, this if something you could consider as a configuration option.

We consider that. I've added an issue to our issue tracker.
