Use case question

Postby Guest » Tue Nov 30, 2004 12:02 am

I have a question about use case. If we want to create a system which links to one display default page but can also choose to display in another criteria, what should we do?

Use <<include>> in the first display page
then use <<extend>> from that default page to another page

I'd like to share my 2 cents(or whatever currency) with you.

My understanding is that use cases are used to define business features that the system will implement. It is generally accepted that using it to represent page flows is an antipattern and is detrimental (if not suicidal) for one's project. You may wish to refer to the book "Applying Use Cases: A Practical Guide (2nd Edition)" by Geri Schneider and Jason P. Winters.

For my case, I have been using state diagrams for page flows. So far I must say that they have been serving me very, very well.
