OCL Question

Postby oliverzi » Mon May 10, 2004 12:19 pm

Hello,
I currently use a evaluation copy of poseidon professional and try to test the OCL support. The dokumentation doesn't show how to use the OCL-compliant statements to validate your model. How can I do this ? Thanks.

In the lower right part of the main window you can find a tab called "Constraints". You can edit your constraints there. Please note that constraints are currently available for classifiers (i.e. classes, interfaces, etc.) only.

Hello,

Since Poseidon version 2.3, the internal checking of OCL constraint is dropped, since this presented a lot of problems; it is now a plain text editor for contraints. If you want to validate your OCL 2.0 constraints, you could try Octopus, a free of charge tool by Klasse Objecten (http://www.klasse.nl/ocl/octopus-intro.html). Octopus is able to import a Poseidon XMI file and verify its associated OCL constraints (amongst other features as well).
